Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Pay: $51,000 - $60,000/yr (Depending on Experience)

Job Purpose:

Our Staff Accountants support the organization by providing accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis. Through reconciliation, analysis, and the development of sound accounting processes and procedures, the staff accountant assures that information provided supports branch personnel in decision making. The Staff Accountant role equips an individual for a future in accounting leadership, while allowing them to partner with and advise the organization's key decision makers on how to improve their business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Honor Commitments:

  • As part of the Corporate Accounting team, strive to publish branch financial reports timely and accurately.

  • Ensure that statements are presented fairly and in accordance with GAAP.

Create Positive Experiences:

  • Be a resource for operations personnel, providing clear and helpful guidance on financial matters.

  • Support others in the Corporate Accounting team, to help achieve JX goals.

Foster Lifelong Learning:

  • Review financial statements and provide feedback to branch personnel regarding trends, patterns, margins, etc.

  • Pursue professional development to keep abreast of current trends in accounting and finance.

Exhibit Pioneering Spirit:

  • As part of daily responsibilities, understand processes and key drivers behind the figures, suggesting changes or improvements to make JX more successful.

Demonstrate Good Stewardship:

  • Gather information and contribute to the successful completion of annual audit and other audits as needed.

  • Participate in the month-end and year-end closing process.

  • Identify/resolve issues with a sense of urgency.

Other Duties as Assigned:

  • Adapt to the evolving needs of the organization and undertake additional responsibilities as required, reflecting our commitment to flexibility and responsiveness in meeting business objectives

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred.

  • 1-3 years Accounting experience preferred.

  • Strong computer skills required with advanced spreadsheet skills.

  • Strong knowledge of Accounting principles and fundamentals.

  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and accurate data entry skills..

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
