Customer: National Defense University (NDU)

Certifications: IASAE III (CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP and CCSP)

Job Description:

  • Configuration and Change Management. This activity provides for the management and maintenance of the change management process. The Contractor shall oversee the entire process from inception to implementation and document all changes as outlined in this PWS.
  • The Contractor shall be responsible for the transition of packages/projects/changes into a Request for Change (RFC) submitted to the Technical Review Board (TRB) for technical design and the Configuration Advisory Board (CAB) for approval and scheduling before proposed changes to the production environment are enacted and will become part of the NDU Enterprise baseline. Prepare RFC packages IAW change management TTPs and ensure that RFCs are submitted, compliant, vetted, and approved for an ASI and visible through the existing NDU SharePoint portal repository for tracking and managing RFCs. These projects/changes shall be maintained and updated on the Integrated Master Schedule in coordination with Service Design. The Contractor shall provide engineering support for the development of new Services pursuant to obtaining business approval from the Configuration Control Board (CCB). Support to the CCB will be limited to development of "rough order of magnitude" quantification of costs and levels of effort for possible solutions to meet requirements being approved by the CCB.
  • Release and Deployment. This activity provides management and support for deploying releases into the live environment in a controlled manner to maintain and protect the integrity of the live environments, verify the correct components are released, and minimize mission disruption for users and organizations.
  • Knowledge Management (KM) This activity supports the NDU KM Program's goals of implementing KM principles to enable strategic advantage, reduce mission risk, protect mission knowledge, and improve the quality and timeliness of advice and decisions - shifting NDU from a "need to know" culture to a collaborative "need to share" environment.
  • User Training. This activity provides information technology training for NDU Enterprise users, such as faculty, staff, and students throughout the academic year and as needed when new technologies are introduced. New training topics will be identified through interaction and feedback from the community, intake from the faculty and staff, periodic surveys, and opportunities based on new functionality identified by vendors, current/future functionality migrations and changing DOD policies (Zero Trust).
  • SharePoint Engineering and Administrative Support. This activity provides SharePoint-related business process engineering/re-engineering, create automated workflows, building SharePoint dashboards and related objects, converting existing forms, testing, and implementation.

Education:

MA/MS in a technical discipline with at least 15 years of experience.
