PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Shift Leader is responsible for the general operations of a store under the control of a Store Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Product Quality

  • ServSafe certified
  • Practices all safety and sanitation procedures
  • Maintain coffee standards
  • Maintains donut case standards
  • Ensures that bagels are within their 8-hour shelf life
  • Ensures product shelf lives are met
  • Ensures all products are available
  • Understands and executes the donut change over process

Guest Service

  • Providing a pleasant and proper greeting
  • Properly suggestive selling
  • Repeating orders to ensure accuracy
  • Payments are handled correctly
  • Drive-thru guests receive a total at the speaker
  • Providing a 2-part Thank You
  • Team Service is used to expedite the process of assembling customer orders
  • Drive-thru Service times are met, monitored and logged daily
  • Speed and accuracy times are met at both the front and drive-thru
  • A sense of urgency is displayed by all
  • Deployment chart utilized and completed daily

Cleanliness

  • Maintains all customer view areas and restrooms
  • Utilizes a cleaning system
  • Practices all safety and sanitation procedures
  • Demonstrates proper hygiene
  • Understands the Dunkin Donut Employee Health Standards
  • Ensures the three compartment sink is properly set up
  • Ensures sanitizer buckets are at proper concentration levels
  • Ensures all foods are dated and FIFO (First in, first out food rotation) is present
  • Service area is neat, clean and properly stocked

Supervising Skills

  • Assists in maintaining a team atmosphere and motivates team
  • Utilizes and practices the LAST process
  • Models behaviors outlined in the Pocket Operations Guide
  • Utilizes TTM (talk to me)
  • Takes Pride in their work

Training and Development

  • Assists in training for new product roll outs
  • Follows up on new and existing crew members

Administration

  • Daily tracking of Service times
  • Over rings properly executed
  • Cash policies properly executed
  • Top 25 checklist completion twice daily
  • Deployment chart posted and utilized daily

    Working Conditions

    • Works indoors under regular Restaurant conditions.
    • Works outdoors under regular weather conditions as needed.
    • Works with a variety of Restaurant equipment.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Continuous standing for extended period of time, handling, fingering, use of eye-hand-foot coordination and corrected vision.
    • Frequent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, walking, reaching; pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs. of merchandise cartons.
    • Seldom requires sitting, running and visiting/working at other sites.

    Education/Training:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Successfully completes all training including (but not limited to) Dunkin' Donuts Online University requirements, basic restaurant training, and Human Resource Training.
    • On the job training provided by the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Restaurant Manager.

    Other

    • All other duties as assigned.
