Performs tasks that require mainly physical abilities and effort. Assists Journeymen in work assignments that involve little or no specialized skills, prior work experience or specialized training in a journeyman occupational trade or craft.

This role is temporary full-time.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

• Loads and unloads trucks and other conveyances. Moves supplies and materials to proper location using a wheelbarrow and/or hand truck.
• Stacks material for storage. Collects refuse and salvageable materials.
• Digs, fills, and tamps earth excavations. Level's ground using pick, shovel, tamper, and rake. Shovel's concrete, cleans ditches, moves, and arranges heavy office and household furniture, machinery, and equipment.
• Occasionally paints or touches up structures or equipment. Uses mechanical hand tools.
• Cleans workshop areas and worksites, including sweeping, washing & mopping.
• Performs all work-related duties as assigned.

Mandatory:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Possess a valid State Driver's License.
• Possess an OSHA 10 card or have the ability to get one within the first 90 days of employment.
• Must be able to comprehend, read, speak, and write proficiently in the English language.
• Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional and courteous manner in diversified situations.
