We arelooking for a self-motivated and energeticSeniorMechanical Engineerwith 10+ years of experience for our Honolulu office. The successful candidate for this position will provide engineering support for a variety of design projects involving process piping, HVAC systems, and plumbing systems. We are seekinginnovative, results-oriented individuals who value high standards of performance and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in from an ABET accredited college or university in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or similar field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in HVAC and plumbing engineering with strong consulting firm background preferred
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) required; Hawaii registration preferred
  • Familiarity with relevant codes: mechanical, energy, plumbing and ensure design conforms with all applicable codes and client standards
  • Preparation of design criteria documents, technical reports, calculations, drawings and specifications for HVAC and plumbing systems including piping and ductwork systems design, cooling load calculations, design of air distribution systems, design of hydronic systems, design and layout of fan rooms and mechanical rooms, chilled and hot water systems, constant volume and variable air volume systems, automatic temperature controls systems including direct digital controls systems.
  • Perform HVAC calculations and analysis using standard industry programs (i.e. Carrier HAP)
  • Working knowledge of the LEED rating system, or other green rating systems
  • Write/ edit mechanical specifications
  • Occasional travel to construction sites to conduct mechanical inspections and prepare reports. Travel includes locations such as Neighbor Islands, Guam, Japan, and South Pacific.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
  • Desire to project manage inter-disciplinary projects and project teams
  • Commissioning experience preferred
  • Active industry involvement
  • Previous federal project experience preferred
  • Must be able to obtain U.S. security clearance
  • Well organized, self-directed work habits with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and schedule tasks managing multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, spoken and written; good presentation skills (essential). Must be able to prepare written reports and deliver result in a clear manner to technical or non-technical audience.

Expected annual salary of $106,000 - $138,000.
