Project Engineer I

Salary Range: $30-$35/Hr

SUMMARY: As a Project Engineer, your role is essential in driving construction projects to successful completion. With a hands-on approach, you will be actively involved in both fieldwork and office tasks, ensuring project efficiency and adherence to specifications. Your responsibilities include reacting swiftly to issues, providing on-site training, managing front-line workers, innovating solutions, and collaborating with project managers and subcontractors to ensure necessary resources are available to keep the project on schedule. You will also play a crucial role in human resource management, creating schedules, assisting with invoicing, submitting documents to clients, forecasting project resource needs, and conducting quality control over technical team work. Collaboration with other organizational managers is essential to facilitate project success and the smooth execution of technical tasks on-site.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Maximize project efficiency and profitability.

* Determine project specifications and acquire the necessary materials for completion.

* Develop scope and parameters for project design and implementation.

* Identify project responsibilities and delegate phases and elements to the appropriate personnel.

* Assist in development and control measures for project-plan lifecycle.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

* Assist the Senior Project Engineer and Project Manager in establishing project objectives, procedures, data collection methods, and performance standards within corporate policy boundaries.

* Prepare scheduled updates of activities and analyze manpower and equipment requirements.

* Create and administer appropriate testing protocols to monitor project performance.

* Promptly inform supervisors and subcontractors of any schedule changes, working closely with project teams to ensure requirements are met.

* Familiarize with budgetary, scheduling, and project requirements to provide regular reports to the project manager, keeping them informed of job progress, plans, and potential issues that could impact costs or schedules significantly.

* Manage compliance, quality control, and quality assurance standards and specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Engineering or a related field from a four-year college or university.

* Computer skills required: Working knowledge of MS Office programs.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Good troubleshooting skills.

Building upon the foundation of a Project Engineer I, you will demonstrate advanced skills, knowledge, and leadership abilities in managing and executing complex projects. Your role will involve overseeing multiple aspects of project planning, implementation, and control, while also providing guidance and support to junior team members. By leveraging your expertise, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills, you will contribute to maximizing project efficiency, profitability, and client satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budgets.

* Collaborate with project stakeholders to establish project objectives, develop comprehensive project plans, and define deliverables and milestones.

* Conduct in-depth analysis of project requirements, identify potential risks and challenges, and develop proactive mitigation strategies.

* Manage project resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal utilization and cost efficiency.

Senior Project Engineer:

Salary Range: $75-105k/yr

SUMMARY: As a Senior Project Engineer, you will assume a leadership role in managing and overseeing complex construction projects from inception to completion. Building upon your extensive experience and expertise as a Project Engineer III, you will provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to other Project Engineers (I, II, & III) and contribute to the successful execution of multiple projects. You will take on more advanced role in project execution and be assigned smaller projects to manage and oversee with guidance from Project and Program Managers. With a focus on delivering high-quality results, optimizing project performance, and fostering strong client relationships, you will play a pivotal role in driving the overall success of the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Lead and supervise a team of project engineers, providing direction, guidance, and support throughout the project lifecycle, including representing the company and sitting in for the Project Manager as may be necessary for various project meetings.

* Manage and coordinate multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project specifications, schedules, and budgets.

* Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to establish project objectives, scope, and deliverables.

* Independently Conduct thorough project planning, including resource allocation, scheduling, and cost estimation, and monitor project progress against established metrics.

* Oversee the preparation and review of project documentation, such as drawings, specifications, contracts, and change orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

* Implement effective project control measures to track and manage project performance, including cost control, risk assessment, and quality assurance.

* Proactively identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate their impact on project timelines and outcomes.
