Job Description:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
>Key position on project teams involved in assignments primarily for large, high profile Department of Defense program initiatives
>Consults with clients to determine project plans and schedules
>Serve as technical advisor on assigned projects and issues of moderate complexity involving electrical engineering, efficiency, operations, and/or planning.
>Maintains positive client relationships
>Prepares designs, studies and reports
>Directly supervise employees and at times subcontractors involved in the project
>Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws
>Evaluate, select, and apply advanced design & engineering methods with responsibility for project assignments including programming, design development, and coordination and production of construction documents
>Develop and prepare construction documents, plans (e.g. one-line diagrams, panel schedules, etc), and details; and specifications; review and redline drawing sets
>Evaluate and integrate engineering systems and implement code, accessibility, and zoning analyses
Qualifications:
>Registration a PE
> Ability to exercise professional discretions and judgment
>5-8 years' experience in Electrical Engineering consulting at increased levels of responsibility to include project management.
>Strong client satisfaction track record
>Demonstrated commitment and focus on Quality.
>Ability to communicate effectively both in written and oral presentation
> Ability to establish priorities and complete tasks on multiple projects, with experience developing MS Project schedules
>Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
>Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership
>Possess a thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures
>Ability to use extensive working knowledge of all relevant procedures necessary to complete contract documents to obtain permits
>Ability to use working knowledge of all sub-consultant work to maintain efficiencies and meet deadlines
>Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
>Ability to write reports, business correspondence
>>Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills
>Superior leadership and management skills
>Position requires the ability to travel both domestically & internationally
>Demonstrated ability to effectively use Microsoft Office software products such as Word and Excel
>Ability to operate standard Electrical Engineering software design tools for routine design calculation, analysis and interpretation (e.g lighting calculations, short circuit analysis, volt drop, arc flash, load analysis, etc)
