Sr. Accountant, General Accounting located in Woodland Hills, CA

The Sr. Accountant ensures timely and accurate accounting and reporting for activities throughout the month and close cycle, including but not limited to vendor receipts and voucher processing. In addition, this role supports automated Workday Expense and Fixed Asset systems, as well as Health & Welfare, Lease Accounting, and Payroll.

What you'll do in this role:

• Prepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support monthly bridge analysis/comments for business
• Workday Expense and payroll support
• Prepare bank reconciliations
• Lease accounting support
• Health and Welfare support
• Fixed asset support
• Prepare quarterly leasehold and improvement reconciliation
• Perform related internal and external reporting for management
• Process all-steel receipts and voucher matching
• Other research, reporting, and analysis as requested

We need you to have:

• BA or BS in Accounting
• 4 + years' experience in accounting
• Strong MS Excel skills and proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• Good organization, follow up, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Solid understanding of general accounting concepts and principles
• Knowledge of manufacturing preferred
• Experience with various software packages, JD Edwards preferred
